Academic Calendars
The Master of Arts in School Counseling program runs for five
semesters with a new cohort beginning each September. There
are three distinct tracks available for completing your
educational requirements.
Track I (44 credits)
For those who enter the program with two years of successful
licensed teaching experience.
Track II (50 credits)
Standard educational path for the MA Degree
Licensure Only Track
This option is available on a case-by-case basis for those
who already have a Master's degree from an accredited program in
counseling, counseling psychology or social work that required a
clinical practicum focused on individual and group counseling
skills. Actual length of program and number of required
credits will be predicated upon review by the program faculty
advisor. This option is subject to approval from the Dean of
the School of Education & Counseling.

Licensures
Students enrolled in the Licensure only option must be graduates
from an accredited Master's program in counseling, counseling
psychology or social work that required a clinical practicum
focused on individual and group counseling skills. Other master
degrees may be considered on an individual basis.
Licensure Only students must meet all the entrance requirements
for Graduate Students in School Counseling. The Application process
will be the same as for School Counseling program.
Students with equivalent graduate level coursework may submit
appropriate documentation from the former college or university to
substitute/transfer up to maximum 10 credits.
