  • Business Law (covered by GCIBM 704)
  • Economics (covered by GCIBM 702)
  • Finance (covered by GCIBM 703)
  • Accounting - Although not covered by any AIEX course work, it is assumed that for all students who have successfully completed the GDIBM the accounting prerequisite has been adequately satisfied by the students' background.  Most, if not all students are managers, or owners of their own businesses and are expected to have done accounting in areas such as balance sheets, spread sheets, cost and expense reports, bank expenditures sheets, profit and loss reports, business plans, forecasts etc.
  • GDIBM 804 International Business Plan is equivalent to NCU's BUS 690 Final Project.

Of the above seven modules, NCU faculty will teach at least the following two courses in face to face format on-site at CCETI / AIEx campus classrooms in Hong Kong:

  • BUS 510 Management Theory & Practice (first class) (3 Credits)
  • BUS 601 Ethics, Service, and Leadership (3 Credits)

These additional NCU courses will be delivered by online instruction:

  • BUS 580 Quantitative Methods
  • ACTG 545 Managerial Accounting
  • BUS 501 Group Dynamics in Organizations
  • BUS 615 Management of Human Resources
  • BUS 610 Operations and Service Management

The NCU-faculty delivered classes will be delivered in a compressed format, perhaps over several weekends.  The other classes can be delivered in the same way as the Certificate/Diploma, if desired, via adjunct faculty or by OCICU on-line courses.  For any adjunct-provided classes NCU will provide syllabus, recommend a text, and review the CVs of proposed adjunct faculty.  The OCICU courses have been evaluated as equivalent to the NCU offerings.

Upon successful completion of the AIEX Graduate Certificate in International Business Management, the AIEX Graduate Diploma in International Business Management, and the articulated coursework from NCU, as described above, students will receive a Master in Business Administration Degree from Northwest Christian University.

I have always had a love for learning and have pursued knowledge my whole life.  My interests in business and ministry have found a creative outlet at Northwest Christian.  I grew up in Springfield and attended the University of Oregon.  There was never any doubt that I would go to college but after that it was a little hazier.  But through prayer and good advice, I went to seminary and into ministry for 25 years before I felt the draw to teach at the college level.  I have had a lifelong interest in history and I enjoy studying the history of business; I collect old business books (before 1920).  I usually teach accounting, finance, and business ethics.  I enjoy being involved at my church and at the state level of church activities.
